The Claremont Museum of Art is opening their exhibit, Claremont Modern: Artists of the GI Bill at the Claremont Heritage Ginger Elliot Exhibition Space. This exhibition looks at the soldiers returning from WWI and how their taking advantage of the art education at the Claremont Colleges through the GI Bill changed Claremont into a vibrant art center at the mid-century.

While you're in Pomona, you may also enjoy the exhibit at the Petterson Museum of Intercultural Art at Pilgrim Place in Claremont. It highlights artist from this same time period, many who were represented in these other shows as well, and the multicultural influences that were made manifest in their art.

If you missed the Sam & Alfreda Maloof Foundation's In Words and Wood PST Exhibit, you're in luck. For the Regional Focus weekend, it's been extended until March 3rd and will also be open specially on Sunday February 19th.
